We are thrilled to announce the release of the 9th Whakapuāwai Podcast Series episode, featuring exciting kōrero with Te Aomihia Walker (Ngāti Porou).
Te Aomihia is a Māori youth activist, marine biologist, fisheries advisor, Sue Taei Ocean Fellow, and Arctic Angel.
She has worked to protect and advance Iwi customary and commercial interests in fisheries and the marine environment as a fisheries policy analyst.
Broadly, her mahi advocates for integrated environmental management approaches in line with Te Tiriti o Waitangi, Indigenous rights, and knowledge, with an eye on Indigenous-led solutions.
